What people ask us
When can I change my piercing jewellery?
The jewellery can be changed once the piercing has fully healed.
We offer our clients a check-up of their piercing and sell a huge range of piercings and jewellery to show it off.
How much does a piercing cost?
It depends on the material of the initial jewellery and the area to be pierced. Our prices include titanium jewellery, designed especially for people allergic to nickel and guaranteeing top quality. Our prices range from 25 to 40 euros.
Do I need an appointment for a piercing?
Yes, it is necessary: we need to have the room free, even though it doesn’t take as long as a tattoo.
Is my piercing infected or healing?
When a piercing is healing you will notice the following:
- Swelling
- Redness around the piercing
- Discomfort
- White, clear or slightly yellowish discharge
When a piercing is infected you will notice the following:
- Excessive swelling
- Redness beyond the area of the piercing
- Constant pain
- Heat around the piercing
- Fever
- Nausea
- Thick brown or green discharge with a bad smell
If your piercing is infected, or you think it is, you should see a doctor so they can give you the right treatment.
Does getting a piercing carry any risks?
At Motink Tattoo we work with sterilised, top-quality materials and comply with all hygiene and safety regulations.
The biggest risk would be an infection caused by not following the aftercare properly, wearing jewellery you are allergic to or, less likely, your body not accepting the piercing and rejecting it.
Small bumps similar to spots, called granulomas, can appear on the skin. They are the body’s way of defending itself against bacteria, foreign substances or viruses, and they may appear several times during healing. The most common causes are poor hygiene, touching the piercing with dirty hands, knocks or unsuitable jewellery.

At our studio we will give you aftercare guidelines after your piercing.
Can I change my piercing jewellery while it is healing?
The answer will always be no! During the healing process the jewellery should not be changed, unless it is unsuitable and is causing some kind of infection or pain in the area. In that case we will assess what is causing the pain or infection and change the jewellery free of charge.
Can I bring someone with me to get a piercing?
Yes, you can bring someone with you, but they will have to wait outside the room for the safety and peace of mind of both the client and the piercer.
